Their test subjects are a group of teen prisoners who have offered freedom after the tests are complete, assuming they survive. The tests succeed and the teens are equipped with strange abilities that make them the most powerful humans on the planet. Things take a turn for the worst when a tragic accident leads to the deaths of most of the scientists. The teens are now mostly by themselves, stuck on an island, with dangers lurking at every corner. Just because they have powers doesn't mean that they're invincible. '23'. A girl with no hope left. Her life contained within four white walls. After being sold by her mother she finds herself living as a lab rat. Being tested on and tortured is how she spends her days. A normal day filled with pain is interrupted when a small girl joins her. Now with something to protect what will happen next? Will they escape or die before seeing the outside world again? Contains Child abuse, violence, mentions of alcohol abuse, small amount of swearing, mentions of slavery. (I'm new to this so it might not be very good. Sorry!) (The POV changes sometimes but the chapter name tells you.)
