After years of living a terrible life due to her father's abuse, Alex Carter, a 17 year old girl, and her mother decided to finally leave their life in New York City for a new life in a small town in North Carolina. But starting her new life is not the only challenge she faces. After promising herself to keep her distance from people and not trust anyone, she is challenged by Blake Johnson, the school's most popular and feared bad boy, who tries to break all the walls she built from everyone around her. This is Alex's journey in regaining trust and faith in the world while learning to cope and interact with the most frustrating and confusing boy she's ever met, who may be interested in her a lot more than she might think.
