After the tragic loss of her mother, Rebecca Rivers and her little brother Peter move in with their grandmother in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Becca has made three years with out making friends at school, so when Peter makes a friend, of course it's the badass' little sister.

Mason Bakker is technically the bad boy at Badger high school. He hates his weird stereotype but goes a long with it. It wont matter next year, he'll be in college. yes, Mason has broken hearts over the years, but the girl who stole his wont talk to anyone. Mason will see her working in sugar and spyce, picking up sweets from his family bakery and increasing her chance of lung cancer almost everywhere. His younger sister made a new friend and it so happens to be Becca Rivers' younger brother. The girl who stole his heart.

Becca isn't a person to talk about her feelings so, spending more time with Mason will make her an open book. But when Mason finds out about her sad tragedies will he have a change of heart for her? Will he pity her? And what happens when Peter gets sick? Becca is afraid of losing another immediate family member. Peter and Becca have been through everything together...
