Vanessa is a junior in high school her  aunt Salma beats her almost everyday, tells her she's worthless and calls her every nasty names she could think of. Vanessa takes it all because she knows if she doesn't the fund that pays her mom's hospital bills will cut off. Vanessa's mom had been in the hospital for 8 months now due to her many surgeries and illness. She's been unconscious since then.
