Mina lives in the DMZ now, fighting everyday for survival without any allies until she meets Areum, a girl with similarities but yet so different. She’s North Korean, but they somehow get along, long enough to keep each other alive. But what happens when they manage to escape into the real world? Areum gets dragged away due to the North Korean government and Mina takes a risk, stepping into the neighboring lands that seem so foreign to her. She meets a sweet, perfect guy who happens to be a high-ranking official. He teaches her how to disguise herself, gets her a new life as one of the government bodyguards, and is the only one knowing of her real identity- a South Korean. Now she counts herself as one of the North Koreans, secretly searching for any signs of Areum. But she sees the country in all its suffering and hunger, and betrays those who love her once more, for all the innocent souls out there that did nothing to deserve this. Whatever Mina hopes to achieve will change the future of both nations: Reunited countries that have learned to love...or two lands that cause further chaos, continuous war, and have hatred towards each other even more?
