Twenty years after the Outbreak wiped out the entire population over fifty years of age, America's strikingly divided social classes, the Aven and the Voe, have become more restless than ever. Even so, Silvia Hawking, the president of the United States, seems to be fueling the fire. For Amora, a sixteen-year-old Voe struggling to get by in Esterlyn, this systematically racially segregated society is the only world she has ever known. As she finds herself in a school she does not belong in, however, she begins questioning if she can bear the way she is treated and if her dream of becoming a ballet dancer will ever be possible. But soon, Amora begins to ask even bigger questions. Questions she risked her life asking. Questions about her identity, America's mysterious past, and the division between the Aven and the Voe. Alongside her sister Emilia, and her friends Derek and Vessa, Amora sets out on an adventure determined to unveil these secrets. Together, they journey to bring love back to a society devoid of it for far too long. Original Cover - Drawn by Me :)

During the North American War, an organization is reborn. The government of Amory has officially decided to bring back the Hunters, an elitist group within the government with access to unlimited resources. They have the best fighters, the best healers, the best spies and interpreters. You name it, the Hunters have it. The only issue? It needs fresh new members. Twenty-five hundred students aged fourteen to eighteen across Amory are randomly selected to participate in a series of tests that measures different types of strength and skill. As these tests progress, the more difficult they get and the more money the candidate receives. Jaid Broomer isn't too thrilled about being chosen, but after making a promise to one of her most beloved mentor figures and finding out about a new addition to her family, she decides to go through with it and try her best. When she gets there, Jaid becomes submerged into a whole new world full of possibility and uncertainty. On top of having friendship issues, homesickness, and heartwrenching feelings for a certain boy, Jaid finds herself working to accomplish a new position. One that will provide her with a life that she never dreamed of living.
