Tim Drake wasn't born to a glorious world. He was born into a world where the best people, the world's finest heroes, weren't so good. They saw justice in another light and 'perfected' the world. In truth they frightened everyone into submission and anyone who didn't submit paid the price. Tim's father was a stupid man who was in great debt to Bruce Wayne, the leader of these 'Heroes'. To pay his debt he gave up his only son to Bruce. Bruce didn't think a child's life should be used as a bargain, but accepted anyways. He had Tim married off to his first son, Dick Grayson. Now follow Tim's story and learn how he came to love this man he once thought was harsh and cruel. How will Tim's story end? And what was the real reason Bruce accepted Jack Drake's bargain?
(This story is kinda based on the Crime Syndicates' world. Except everyone's a supernatural creature.)

This girl was also older than him by 11 months. Basically a year. Soon.. the two meet under dire circumstances, her father is dying, and bruce has to help her adapt and overcome.
