The entire world has found itself on the verge of oblivion. Before everything changed - before the earth changed, before people changed - life was not one collective desolate soul. An epidemic has killed almost the entire population of earth, and now what is left, who is left, has to survive not only the threat of a virus but the wake of its impact.

What the survivors don't realize is that not everything has changed. Before what the life people knew disappeared, they more often than not were tuning into and out of their own concerns - their well-being, their happiness, their tribulations. Now people are focused on one thing, one objective - survival. Nevertheless, everyone is still on a different frequency - every man for himself, find others like me, find somewhere safe, protect the ones I care about, protect only the ones I care about.

Shiloh has made for herself a plan of action, one that ensures escape from everyone and everything else. But she finds that her primary focus of getting out of the city will soon face interference.

There are others out there too, so close to each other that their paths are being threatened to cross, to get their signals entangled so intricately that they can't unwind themselves.

Because unless they find themselves on the same frequency, there is no chance of true survival.
