Once he turns 18, he'll be a legal adult and nobody will be able to separate him from his grandfather. He just has to hold out one more year. But it isn't easy. Everyone needs friends, and now this Anne girl has singled him out. Part of him aches for human contact, and he's not immune to her quirky sense of humor, but she might be totally insane. Double D, now going by the name of Edd, except the kids in the Cul-de-sac still refer to him as Double D, befriends Bonnie, and struggles to get past her tough exterior. There's only one way to know who she really is. Old habits die hard.

After all of that, they were finally accepted by the rest of the kids and they all grew as close friends, except for Johnny who felt he was shafted. Now it's time for the first day of their freshmen year of high school. The kids are growing and changing, and they're discovering new things about themselves, as well as having deep secrets eventually being brought to light. These next four years of the new chapter of their lives will test the trust and friendships of all these kids as they continue to grow. Is the bond of these friends strong enough to handle the hardships of growing up? Will they all be able to be friends with one that turns out to be different?

Eddy and Edd have been dating off and on until Eddy finally snaps Edd's trust for the last time. Seeking comfort he heads towards his remaining friend, Ed. On his way there bumps into a real odd ball character, a drama-king if you would. Leading to a very unusual meet with said king's "stalker' of sorts. The meeting may have been a coincidence but it made him feel better. He parts ways with the unlikely duo and heads home, literally crashing into Kevin. Once he makes his way home he sits and thinks over the day. Kevin however couldn't help but notice the boy didn't quite look as cheerful as usual. Even though Kevin and Edd had never been close he didn't quite like that he seemed to shine a little less brighter then before. Though he still had a smile plastered on his face it didn't quite reach his eyes. Troubled by this Kevin seeks a way to figure out why.
