Delta Cross had lived her life like any normal teenager. She made friends, got decent grades, and slept a lot. Her life was completely normal and out of danger until one day, her parents go on a business trip to upstate Arizona and she is left alone by herself. It's a dark night and the wind outside was howling as she hears a knocking noise on her door. Fearful to open it but running out of options, she opens it to a boy with glowing gold eyes. He drags her out of the house, and forces her to run from evil--or rather, demons.

Astraeus, a baby dragon, escapes from his old coven and stumbles upon a little shop that he spends months stealing from and hiding in to survive. The witch and familiars who live there are... strange. They know he takes from them but don't put up different wards, don't do things that could hurt him.
