What's left of the U.S. after the initial fighting is broken down into large cities. Resources are limited. 11-year-old Sura is caught in the middle of the mess-- there's violence in the streets and her Papa's gone away to fight. Hear about the horrors of life through Sura's eyes and follow her as she seeks truth, family and an end to all the destruction. There must be something she can do to help. Isn't there? Told through the structure of haiku poems, this story is a quick but good read.

Note: Read the poems in order. The poems come together to tell a story. A part may not make sense if the previous ones were not read.

2ND NOTE: Please don't judge this story only by the first 15 parts. I wrote 1-15 before I developed a broader plan. There's a plan now. I promise it gets better. And I will keep updating. :P
