Swallow my pride she tells me. Ha. Easy for her to say when she lost her pride so long ago she barely even knows what it means to have it anymore.
I'm not going to swallow my pride so another pompous asshole can get his way. Especially since that pompous asshole just so happens to be my brother.
I'm trying to stay strong and not let the profanities that sit precariously on the tip of my tongue slip out.
I've let them slip out in the past and more times than not haven't been sorry.
I went for a walk to pull myself together, but, of course, right as I stepped back through that front door she jumped down my throat for the same reason I left.
She says she understands that she doesn't know the whole story but wants me to swallow my pride because she needs money, again.

It's kind of like the door handles, or a rower for a fishing rod. Except it's only the handle for a fishing rod. No rod or line. So it's basically just a fidgety piece of wood. You start turning both sides, spinning it around in your hand. "Easy there." Gally chuckles. He steps closer to you, rubbing his arm up and down your back to soothe you. "You doing okay?" "Yep." You chirp, grinning up at him. He double-checks your expression. His eye staring into yours to see how you're feeling. When he's sure you're not too stressed out, he removes his arm from you and throws a rag over his shoulder. "Okay, stick by me. Ya hyper little bunny..." Emi, first girl the Glade has seen. Tougher than she looks and more than ready to prove it. Since day one her and Gally have been at each other's throats.
