Susan J. Reynolds is a typical cowgirl living in the state of Colorado, where she lives her life on a ranch. I know what your thinking; She's going to be this perfect cowgirl and that everyone is jealous of her so they make fun of her she still stays strong like the independent stereotypical girl in any other book slash movie would be. Well, if you were, then your wrong. She isn't perfect and people don't hate her. Well actually, that's a lie. There's Stevie Marshall...the typical I-Can-Have-Whatever-I-Want type of cliché brat, and yes she can. High end tack, push button horse, and expensive riding attire. But there's one thing she can't have, and that's Storm.

Storm is a grulla wild Mustang that was found north of Colorado. No one knows exactly where he was found but we all know that he was bought at an auction by Sue, and with the stubbornness and headstrong attitude that they both had, it caused friction between the two. Will she be the first ever horseman to give up on a horse? Or will they mellow each other out?

Reagan Renne Walker left the tiny town that she grew up in in Wyoming five years ago to fulfill her dream of opening an equine therapy ranch in Montana & to start a new life. Reagan's parents died when she was just seven years old. Mallory, Reagan's older sister, was still too young to care for both herself and her sister. As a result, Reagan and Mallory were forced to live with their grandparents. Mamaw and Papaw Walker sent both girls through school and college. Reagan never imagined leaving Wyoming. However, after her unexpected relationship with Swayde, her childhood best friend, and love of her life, took a turn for the worst, all Reagan could think about was that she couldn't get out of Wyoming fast enough. Swayde is your typical, rugged cowboy. His smile was enough to melt any girls heart, his eyes made it seem like the sun was always shining, even in the worst storm, his square jaw line accented his dark beard, his body thick with muscles. His physical features and build were intimidating at times, and didn't always match his laid back, easy going, gentlemanly personality. Swayde never thought he would fall for feisty Reagan, and even more so, Reagan never thought that she would fall for him. They end up in this unexpected whirlwind relationship, and everything is hunky dory until Reagan finds out a secret from Swayde's past that would forever change the way she looked at him; a secret he kept from her for over ten years. Confiding in her grandma, Reagan finds out that her grandparents knew the secret all along too. How could the people she thought loved her hurt her so bad and keep this big of a secret from her for so long? When tragedy strikes back in Wyoming, Reagan is forced to move back to the town she swore she would never step boot in again, thus leaving her new life in Montana behind. Through God, can Reagan find a way to forgive the people who hurt her, or will she forever consider Alpine Ridge "Heartbreak Town?"

She moves away to start a new life away from New York and big cities, in a new neighborhood in California. Ally is taken away from her best friends, her horse, and her old life. Moving isn't easy in the first place, meeting new people, going to a new school, and having a new house, but when your blind? It seems like the hardest thing ever, especially when you are only 14. Cole Weston is mad at the world. His father for leaving him and his mother when he only was six, his former friends for betraying him, and his step-dad and mother for dying in a car crash. But, when Cole meets Ally, he sees that everyone might not be bad and hope for her as well. Ace is an abused 4 year old horse, he has been through hell and back, until he finds himself free from his old life and in a new place. One day he sees Ally and, just like Cole, realizes that she is different. Will two "broken" souls be able to mend each other with the help of horses? or will it all come crumbling down?
