Rosie is a girl who had grown up in the South all her life, so when her parents tell her they might be moving 36 hours away, everything she'd ever known meant nothing. She had a pretty average life, good friends and a boyfriend that she loved.  She was a sophomore and was already planning her senior prom along with her friend Flor and her best friend Jennifer, moving was not in her life plan. But when they do decide to make the 36 horrid hour journey to Washington, her life was changed. And not only because of her new home but she met a guy who changed all of her beliefs.
