Sam Richards has a lot of plans; he wants to drink a lot- and frequently- he wants to meet a lot of girls- and frequently- and he wants to be rich- and quickly. Sam Richards knows he has to put effort into these things. Sam Richards doesn't want to be working his little brother's job in an old, slightly smelly café full of old people, especially if he's washing up all day. Sam Richards also doesn't want to spend time with the slightly odd looking, over-smiley girl who also works in the café, but Sam Richards realises that he has to if he wants to achieve his list of three.

Stephanie Drake is bubbly, excited and curious about everything. She is everyone's friend, unless you're Sam Richards. The two are thrown together with a pinch of resentment and a bundle of sarcasm, but everyone knows that they might find a way to get along somehow.
