( I'm basically rewriting the whole 'Selection' series, with my own twist. )
Everyone knows Maxon Schreave, heir to the throne of Illea, but what most people forget, is that Maxon had a twin brother, oddly, with the same name.
When Maxon Schreave was six, King Clarkson had married his twin brother to the kingdom of Malia's princess, Thalia. Maxon never knew why his father had made his brother marry Princess Thalia.
However, 13 years later, Maxon's memory of his brother is forgotten, for no one ever spoke of him again.
After forgetting all memories of his brother, it's his turn to run the Selection, for we shall see both brother's perspectives of their stories, and, their lives.

Previously known as 'my selection' in the books it's maxons selection but what if it was the other way around? in this story, it's America's selection. (ik in the heir it's said eadlyn had the first girl selection but I'mma change that and alot of things so just know I'll break some rules from the books) America's parents didn't want to marry off her to get allegiance but they think she should be a queen. so when she turns 17 they suggest the idea of a selection for her. maxon is a five and a photographer. he's has always thought that the princess was really beautiful with her icy blue eyes and red hair like roses and honey and the sun. So obviously when he was given the chance to take part in her selection, he agreed What will happen next? Is it as simple as that? A common happily ever after?
