Niah Valentine lives in the manufactured world of Panem. A world that is full of strict rules and those who disobey are put to death or worse become and Avox. Unlike many of District Fours population her family is not very rich and owns very few items. She is "chosen" to compete for her life in the games and learns that not all career districts are made to win the 74th annual Hunger Games.
