In a feudal society years deep into a war in the mountains and on the verge of rebellion in East, four characters each from separate cultures and lifestyles portray their side of the story during the War of Kriegsmere in this dark fantasy landscape of Delwin. Mags, a ten year old girl heads off to a crucial city to ward a sour lord and is met with challenges as the eastern armies seek to claim the prominent and powerful city. Rodrik, a fifteen year old soldier who speaks with angels is off to war in the West to fight the goliaths (thren), only to discover he is recalled and to march east to fight men. Grin'ok is a member of another species, one in which men have been fighting for centuries. He is tasked by an angel to fulfill a duty that will take him across the borders that split the civilizations of men and thren and into a world of fearful men as war rages across the East. Ken, the son of the self proclaimed king of the East must do what he must for his father and for his life as he leads crucial fighting forces in order to gain independence, but darkness lies beneath his courage as the choices that await him in politics and war grow ever more potent. All in all, this story is about people just like you and me. Afraid of the ever changing events unfolding around us, afraid of the things that await around the corner, and afraid of the challenges we must overcome. Welcome to my story. Our story.
