Two years ago my father was murdered; I remember the day so clearly, I wake up from night to night sweating off the memory. I was just getting home from the first footgame of the school year; mom was still at work, though when I walked in the door I knew something was terribly wrong. I called out to my father, but heard no answer in return, frantically I searched the house. When I arrived in the kitchen I felt as if something was pulling me towards the basement door, a sickening suspicion rose inside me. With every step I took, the more terrified I felt that what I was about to see would change everything.
