A world where everyone has a special tattoo on their ankle since birth and whenever they fall in love, that person's tattoo will appear on their body . Patrick has been dating Hannah for awhile now and he loves her. Her tattoo has been on his body for as long as he can remember. But one day he finds out, that his tattoo is nowhere to be seen on her. They break up and a distraught Patrick runs into Pete. Their encounter is strange to say the least and Patrick returns home to find out that he has a new tattoo on his body.
Note: This is not my original idea. I saw this au on tumblr about a world where this tattoo thing exists and decided to write a Peterick adaptation. Hope you enjoy!

When Pete shows up Sunday, mid-afternoon, for ten days of house sitting and "Keeping a general eye on things, Patrick, we know you're too old for a babysitter, but we worry," he looks exactly the same, except for a stupid haircut that makes him look like someone cut it when he was too drunk to look in a mirror, or something. "Hey, kid," he says, first thing, lugging a huge, shiny brown duffle behind him.
