Vexxport, a beautiful city on top, but if you delve any further than the sights it quickly is realised as one of the scummiest cities in the kingdom of Yrdal. Though many nasty things are quickly sighted, there is much to be discovered. Vexxport is ruled by "the people's hero" Crowly Vexx, eighth in the line of Vexx's. He came to power by inheritence but gained popularity by cracking down on thives an murderers where his father had relaxed his grip in his old age. Though he seems a decent man on the outside, much like his city, he is rotten to the core. His entire life he has known what it is like to be born with the silver spoon in his mouth, but he now seeks more power. To what lengths he will go to nobody aside from himself knows. All but a few know of his plans, his elite guard, his right hand, and only the most expensive info brokers whom our heroine frequents.

Cordelia, the picture of beauty, was abducted as a child to learn the ways of an ancient order of assassins known only as Candle Light. Thirteen years of, gymnastics, stealth, and combat training turned her into a ruthless killing machine. She was forced to kill her fellow classmates in an effort to get only the most talented, and strong of a member to enter the order. One day she was out on an assignment, kill a priestess who served the goddess Barress. The priestess knew her fate and accepted it but still showed compassion to Cordelia. Never having been shown compassion for as long as she could remember, she spared the priestess' life, in return the priestess taught her about the goddess and treated her how a mother would treat a daughter. Eventually she broke away from Candle Light and turned to the life of a thief, eventually becoming a sellsword for those she deemed worthy and in need of help.
