Life wasn't easy for Xyloto. After all, it isn't all that pleasant for a rebel like her to live in an Orwellian society banning all shape and form of colour or art. 
It wasn't amazing for Mylo, either. A nonconformist forced into the ranks of the silencers, tasked with the destruction of art (and along with it, the freethinking citizens) is bound to be unhappy. 
Then they met each other. 

This story is dedicated to one of my best friends Vicky (@victoriahsu). You're stronger than Mylo or Xyloto could ever be.

Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization was built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.

The being wasn't like other's any of them had seen. They wanted to know how it was possible in the world that was nothing but desert, and infection. 0-Sa was also alone, which was unusual for the species. The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him. The team had one job, obtain and return the creature alive, but they would soon come to find out that the cargo would be more difficult to transport then they thought.
