Keelie has never fit in and doesn't see it happening in the forseeable future. For as long as she can remember she was the Freak. When it becomes too much for her parents to handle they move her, for a new start, to another town and another school. Unbeknownst to them they have moved her straight into the hands of a malevolent enemy and the new forbidden temptations of a quiet mysterious young teacher she is drawn to. Keelie will have to put aside her anathema towards her 'Gift' and trust in it instead to protect all she loves as the new start she hopes for may be her end.
