Anna Olsson is a strict and independent girl who keeps to herself. She is smart and beautiful, but she doesn't take pride in it and just pushes people away. She wasn't always like this though, as a child she was very friendly and had many friends. But when she was 8 her father decided to move to a small town called Pinewood Village. A few weeks after she moved there a traumatic experience occurred, taking her fathers life. After that she got depressed for a long time, but she saw no use in it and that and matured becomig very self-sufficant never socializing. It went like this for awhile and she was fine with it until a new student moves next door and changes her life.

 Oliver Thomson is a quiet and sarcastic individual who mainly keeps to himself, only opening up to his best friend Anna. His family had been living in Pinewood Village for generations, everyday simple and sweet, or at least to his parents. His 20 year old brother Cody, a hardcore alcoholic, abuses Oliver all the time. Oliver would of told his parents or even the police, but Cody has blackmailed and threatened him every time he comes close to telling anyone. The only person he had the guts to tell was Anna ( who thinks he is an idiot for not telling anyone), so he usually escapes out his window to her house. This whole thing has been going on since he was 8 and it's starting to become a daily event, until...
