She was interrupted once again by the throat clearing curtain monster.

"M-more important matter to discuss," she gave a shaky breath, " now I know this is going to sound a little bit...how do I say--batshitcrazy--You guys aren't like other people. Have you ever wondered why there is a separate entire dorm building made for at least 300 students only for 12, why you have your own tables at lunch, or why you don't have any classes with the other kids except for your electives?"

"No not really..." The girl next to the blurter answered.

"Oh my God Seleste, you shut the hell up too." The same guy said irritatingly.

"You weren't suppose to be brought together so soon, but we have no choice at the moment. It might be hard to stomach, but you guys are the 12 zodiac signs, Aries--Aaron Reed, Taurus--Theodore Avery, Gemini--Gwenivive Mitchell, Cancer--Candace Chang, Leo--Lydia Emerson, Virgo--Vivian Gretchen, Libra--Lia Adams, Scorpio--Syllis O'Connell, Sagittarius--Seleste Leoir, Capricorn--Connor Parish, Aquarius--Angus Waters, and Pisces--Eli Sanders. The reason you're here, is to save the world." She continued.

Eerie silence flooded the spacious area. Only the shuffling of uncomfortable bodies were heard.

"What the hell are a bunch of horoscopes suppose to do? Is this some kind of sick fucking joke?" The "quiet" guy of the front row launched.

"And he was telling me to shut up..." Seleste murmured.

"I thought I might pass out again, the only thing that kept me awake was the fact that the Sign on my wrist sizzled like oil on a frying pan. At first I thought it was just the aftermath of the intravenous drip but when I looked at it I nearly screamed. The skin around the Ophiuchus symbol, was peeling off, I didn't touch it. My wrist was red and throbbing. I don't think it was bleeding but then I saw drops of blood and quickly pulled down my sleeve, covering my hand. I never saw much of my second Sign since Granny always made me cover it up but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to peel off of my hand." Belle's story continues as she trains at the rebel hideout, Crimsyn State. She learns to cope with her Constellations and deal with the astrological hardships of Ophiuchus. Along with a few heirs of the Twelve Major, Belle attempts to bring her friends to the rebel hideout and tries to complete the group of twelve descendants to fight against the Hydras. During her time at Crimsyn State, Belle discovers the secrets her mother left for her. She realizes there is more to the Stars and Constellations than her imagination could conceive. Includes the poem, Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness by Inaya Sohail. The cuts and bruises were too much to bear. The world around me was spinning, And the streaks of dirt in my hair. And the light never dimming. The light so bright, It felt like there were gazillion fires. I thought I might go blind For I wasn't lying- I wasn't a liar. Published-29/09/19 Completed-26/01/20

The Twelve Realms (A Zodiac Story)

95 parts Complete

The twelve Zodiacs all live together at a boarding school, but all that changes when Gemini claims she saw a magical airship hovering over the academy. The other eleven protested that there was nothing but despair and clouds in its place, but when the Twelve wake up on the ship after a day that everyone found weird, everything changes . . . The Zodiacs find themselves transported to another world, another realm full of secrets and riddles, where something has gone terribly wrong. It's up to the twelve of them to stop the world from falling into darkness, but . . . "We're just teenagers," Aries argued, slamming her fist onto the map. "How are we supposed to do anything?" "Awkward teenagers," Scorpio chimed in. "Shut up, Scorp." "You may be just teenagers, confused with the troubles that come at that age," Ursa replied calmly. Capricorn groaned. "But the prophecy has foretold that you twelve will save us all." Now the Zodiacs have been whisked into an adventure, its fate intertwined in the stars. With tears, trauma and confessions uncovered, along with unlikely friendships, abilities, and . . love? blossoming along the way, it's up to them now - will the world be saved or destroyed? -- [DISCONTINUED]
