A small town in South Carolina has a dark secret. Its not the witches, werewolves, humans and some vampires that live in peace. Or even the the secret ingredient to the best fruity fritters in the south. Its the magic that keeps this small town running smoothly. 
Over three hundred and fifty years ago, a witch feel in love with a vampire. She desperately wished for the approval of her peers and loved one's. Luckily the ancestors heard her prayers. They told her to about a spell that with put peace on the land. A kind of earth magic. But all magic come with a price. Once in a generation a young woman would be chosen to give her live on her 23rd birthday for the good of the land and for the spell to continue. She would go to sleep on the night of her birthday and not walk up.
