What goes on inside their head as they're performing on-screen, and what is their assessment of the things happening off-screen? I'm sharing my perspective on things. It is fanfiction revolving around the Aldub storyline. Hopefully, it shows you the internal struggles that the characters undergo.
I am following the sequence of the Aldub segment as it progresses, but giving it a fictional behind the scenes look into what's going on in the thoughts and interpersonal interactions of Maine and Alden. What thoughts are behind those smiles? What hinders them from seeing what's truly in front of them?

Driven to Distraction
Alex Thompson was due to marry her high school sweet heart Eric Ramirez. Period. That's it. It's about as exciting as her life ever got really. She had a job, a good job but an unconscious reality was that she was bored. She had her back blown out once every three months, if that, and an overbearing mother who made her life hell. *enter Mitch* Eve 'Mitch' Mitchell. An outgoing, strong minded, independent, raging homosexual, lover to all, charming British soul. They meet by accident after a tough day at the office for Alex. A mistaken identity was all it took for a tiny little kiss. A moment blown all out of proportion for the Christian-bred Miss Thompson and her life turns more miserable than she anticipated for every time she turned around...Mitch was there behind her. Something about Mitch was new and fresh and her soul was just what Alex needed (little did she know). Secrets from the past are brought to the surface. A sad ending to a young lady's life. A realisation that family isn't always blood related. Alcohol isn't a medicine. Violence isn't a key. Hearts were never meant to be broken. Two things to take away: you never know what is going on in someone's head and the most important thing...you never know what happens behind closed doors. A/N just a random story about two people who meet accidentally. Plays with gender norms and very inclusive of LGBTQ (being a member myself). Could be triggering I'm not sure as some identity questions are thrown around. It does include smoking, drinking, some homophobia, profanities, violence and smut. Also anything in brackets with A/N means authors note and that's just me leaving a little comment. Enjoy...Complete

Nolan, an unapproachable guy who ignores the existence of all his schoolmates, sleeps in all of his classes. Normally, this wouldn't be Chelsea Arnold's problem-she does her best to pay attention in class and attends gym like a good, normal student. Unfortunately, she just so happens to be his assigned desk partner in many classes. She's frequently forced to wake him in English class and ends up earning the unofficial title of Nolan's Wake-up Alarm-a title that nobody in the entire school covets. The last thing she wants is to interact with him more than she absolutely has to. One day, their gym teacher sends her to bring him back to class, which he always skips for some reason. When she accidentally shines her flashlight in his sleeping face, it triggers a chain of events that gradually intertwines their lives together. It's hard to be a normal student when you start befriending the school oddball. It doesn't help that he has more secrets than the Big Ben has stairs. ----- Complete. We go back to the shooting of the movie "My Bebe Love" and their adventures within and outside of EB. What really happened behind the scenes? There's a saying that goes, "opposites attract". Two different people sometimes compliment each other to make a relationship work, but in some cases, these differences drive two people apart. RJ and Maine must find a middle ground. Unfortunately, circumstances have put them on opposite ends of the stick with opposing view about life. With their contrasting outlooks in life, will they learn to meet eye-to-eye to save their non-existent relationship?
