When they head to the airport to pick them up, they find themselves stuck in a sticky situation with an international pop star named Jason Chae. Jason claims that Amy is his girlfriend and tries to get himself out of his own personal issues. Amy then goes to Jason and tells him to tell the truth about them not being an item. Jason gives Amy only two options and those options are: 1. Be his 'girlfriend' until he has everything settled. 2. She can try to sue him and risk losing in the court of law. Amy decides that since Jason is the one who lied, she doesn't have anything to lose but that is far from the truth. As Amy and Jason pretend to be a couple, things start to change. Things start to become complicated and their feelings for each other begin to change as soon as two people pop into their lives. He was a chubby boy who wanted nothing more than to race cars. She was a be-speckled, mousy 11 year old who just tried to stay out of the way of bullies. The day they met something happened. They became as close as brother and sister. They ran and played, climbed trees, worked on cars, and read Race Car magazines. She looked up to him as the brother she never had. She taught him how to be a redneck Southerner and he taught her how to take care of herself. As time went by the feelings of friendship became more. For a while, it was difficult to be friends. JP got a little too into the Redneck life. He let people lead him down a dark path that Amlyne could not help him out of, or so she thought. He ran with a rough crowd that scared Amlyne. She not only had to fight her own feelings but also had to fight with her parents. They did not approve of JP. They saw him as bad influence and dangerous. So while Amlyne was still under 18, she had to do as she was told. All that was soon to change.Complete
