Best friends turned lovers, Jubilee Carlisle and Blake Griffin finally chose their love for each other over their challenging circumstances. Fate brought this high school English teacher and top NBA power forward together in college years ago, but now they face the consequences of their recent choices. Inspired by love, but tainted by fear, anger, and the fierce desire to protect, these choices have led to consequences that Jubilee and Blake could have never predicted. Haunted by an old flame, pressured by the prospect of new life, and devastated by the separation from their soul mate, will these two lovers only suffer the consequences of their actions, or will they eventually overcome them?
Travel back and forth in time and experience Jubilee and Blake in the past and present as Jubilee searches for redemption in the midst of crippling regret, Blake struggles to find hope in the midst of devastating rejection, and they both fight to preserve their future by preventing the ultimate consequence from coming to fruition.
