Mandie's life has been far from perfect.
Leaving her family behind was a decision she knew would effect the rest of her life. Not only was she leaving behind family, but she was leaving behind comfort and her old life. Would it be worth it in the end?
With this new found freedom, Mandie decides at last minute, to enroll herself in a school all the way across the country to join her best friends. Not only does she begin to figure out herself and who she wants to become, but she begins to fall back in love and unravels the mystery behind a high school crush who broke her heart (or so she thought).
All these new changes and decisions begin to break her down, causing her to realize that maybe this college life wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Especially when she meets the local troublemaker (who may or may not have supernatural abilities) who for some reason just won't give her the time of day. Will she find the answers as to why he's always around her all the sudden? Or will he put his own life in danger just to finally give her the answers she's been looking for?

If she touched me again, I wasn't sure that I could keep myself from doing just that. "I'm going to take a shower," I said suddenly in an attempt to escape. She didn't stop me, so I took that opportunity to walk away. When I reached the bathroom, I took a deep breath to steady myself as well as my pulse.
