Islamic Poetry. This poem is based on reflections I made from first portion Surah Baqara - the 2nd chapter of the Quran. In the verses 1-5 Allah talks about the believes who will be successful in the hereafter, He says that they believe in the unseen, establish prayer, spend out from their provision, believe in the Quran and the previous scriptures and that they have certainty in the hereafter. Then Allah goes on to talk about the disbelievers in verses 6-7. However , this poem in based from reflections made from verses 8-16 where Allah talks about the hypocrites. In these verses He exposes the dual nature of the hypocrites. As for the hypocrite , he will have to face a very painful punishment as his heart and actions did not sync, i.e. he only pretended to be a believer in order to gain benefits and was in fact disbelieving in his heart. They were opportunists who thought they had correct knowledge while they didn't. They caused corruption on land and considered those who believe as fools. This is because their minds were Dunya oriented, and considered the sacrifices made by the believers as a foolish decision. But why did they not believe in Allah? This is because they failed to recognize Him due to their choice of darkness over light. Let us take a moment and analyze ourselves, ask yourself the question, "Does my action reflect my belief?"

I put the grocery bags down after coming inside the house, setting my keys on the counter and placing the bags on the table, putting the stuff away, until I heard a voice. "FATIMA, FATIMA!" Mama was calling me, hm I wonder what for and why did she sound excited as well? "Yes mama? Ana in the kitchen Mama." She came in holding two papers. "We're going! We're going to Jerusalem, to see your cousin get married!" That's when my whole world crashes down. I'm going to Jerusalem ...that means I have to see my cousin Samer, whom I've avoided for 5 years, since I was 16. Ya Allah help me through this. I even remember when I left Amman 5 years ago, and let's just say that it didn't end well between a 16 year old and a 21 year old. ••••••• Fatima Zain, 21 years old college student and getting many proposals to get married has a hard time being her usual self after she left Amman, leaving behind her cousin Samer, whom she loves very much, but no one knows except got her close friend and cousin. Samer Zaid, 26 years old and is working as an engineer, has a hard time being himself after what happened 5 years ago with his cousin, feeling nothing but empty and guilty. Thought a girl kept being on his mind, but he wouldn't show or express who it is. What happens when these two meet again after 5 years of no communication with each other? Will Fatima ever tell Samer she loves him before it's too late? Will Samer ever tell Fatima he loves her before its too late? Will they keep shut about their feelings or will they open up and become close, possibly more, before its too late? Go on an amazing adventure with
