Islamic Poetry.
This poem is based on reflections I made from first portion Surah Baqara - the 2nd chapter of the Quran.
In the verses 1-5 Allah talks about the believes who will be successful in the hereafter, He says that they believe in the unseen, establish prayer,spend out from their provision, believe in the Quran and the previous scriptures and that they have certainty in the hereafter.
Then Allah goes on to talk about the disbelievers in verses 6-7.
However , this poem in based from reflections made from verses 8-16 where Allah talks about the hypocrites. In these verses He exposes the dual nature of the hypocrites. As for the hypocrite , he will have to face a very painful punishment as his heart and actions did not sync, i.e. he only pretended to be a believer in order to gain benefits and was in fact disbelieving in his heart. They were opportunists who thought they had correct knowledge while they didn't.
They caused corruption on land and considered those who believe as fools. This is because their minds were Dunya oriented, and considered the sacrifices made by the believers as a foolish decision.
But why did they not believe in Allah? This is because they failed to recognize Him due to their choice of darkness over light.
Let us take a moment and analyze ourselves, ask yourself the question,
"Does my action reflect my belief?"

"This is Rumaan's child" I heard mama said. I didn't look up at her. I keep my head lowered. because I didn't have the courage to face her. "This is not my child," he said abruptly. I looked at him with wide eyes. I was beyond shocked. What he just said. Did I hear him right? No, he can't say that. How can he? But as he looked away from me, my heart beats stopped. my breath hitched. And that's where he broke me completely "HOW DARE YOU RUMAAM" mama yelled and slapped him. The telltale monstrosity perceptible in his evil kingdom of eyes set a havoc inside her adrenaline rushing body but she held her grounds strong. "And what's that?" And there he showed her something that choked the life out of her frail body as she lost her balance in dizziness. ****** Love is elusive but sometimes it knocks right at your door but you're too arrogant to pay it any heed or maybe too scared to acknowledge it. Either way, destiny always knows how to play its part well. You can ignore it but can never run away from it. It never lets you evade itself and follows you everywhere, like a shadow. Crooning and spreading its arms right open at you, enveloping you from every nook, cajoling you, brandishing your tattered soul, and enticing you to the point where you have to surrender and accept it. Where you have to hold on to it and let everything else go. Because sometimes all a ragged soul and a chasm heart need is a pint of love. The tale of two youngsters who kept finding their way towards each other no matter how hard they tried to ignore it. Life would always collide their paths. Always making up their minds to never see each other again to always bumping on each other, destiny already had something else in store for them. So what was it? A journey of loathing to love. My grandmother used to give me a spoon of honey every morning before I collect myself for school. I wondered why had she incited on doing this? And I asked her one day when I ditched myself from tiring school day. She replied it has many benefits according to The words of Allah. She recited from the Qur'an : { And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct. (28) Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]." There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. (29 } [ Qur'an Surah An-Nahl] Then she said in touched tone "It's one of the Miracles that has been mentioned. Make sure to have one spoon everyday even when I pass away. Words of Allah always has beneficial reflection on us when we do it. Almighty knows what would benefit us because he's the one who created us from nothing to creatures." I didn't get the honey Miracle, but I kept on practising her will because I know she knows better. As I think she never heard the scientific facts of honey, but she believed of it when she witnessed its benefits. Thus, years later I got it when I read a scientific article speaks for my religion's book that exits since 609 CE has revealed the benefits of honey before scientists even discover its components. The article hit my heart when it said it wasn't the honey only. The embryo formation from A-z, Iron sent down from space, pulsating stars, sea not mingling with one another in the Gulf of Alaska..etc. So I found there were tears fell unexpectedly. - Description extracted from one of my upcoming Novels. ;)Complete

"And they plot and plan, and ALLAH plans and ALLAH is the best of planners" (Al-Quran) "Can you tell me to whom this diary belongs?" The person gave me a bored look and I took a long breath to ease the ache in my lungs. I don't think I've ever ran this much in my life. I gave him a pleading look. "Please?! It's really important!". The person looked at me with a face void of any emotions. "Please!!" I don't think I've ever used this word for anyone except my family. I just ordered and it happened. But it didn't seem to be happening right now. I took a last glance at the person giving him a desperate look, then ran to other people. One clue, Just one!! Alteast a little hint!! I kneeled down on the road, not caring about anything and pleaded to Allah Almighty, keeping the diary close to me as it's the most precious thing in the world, the beads present in its cover poking my chest, "Please Allah! I'm sorry for all the sins I've ever done in my life. Surely, You're the most merciful. Please, find me a way to her. Let me meet her. Oh, Allah! Only You know if I don't go to her, what will happen. Please help me." I looked at the diary, its beads shining in the sunlight, and still keeping it close to my chest, I sat at the pavement looking defeated but I won't lose hope. I would not lose hope!! Then I heard heavy footsteps and then someone placed a hand on my shoulder and I turned only to feel like all the trucks of the world attacked me at once. It can't happen. The things I knew that were once unethical, were bound to be saintly. The dreams I dreamt once upon a time, seemed to be an epitome of nightmares.
