[This story revolves around the topic of mental disorders such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders. May be triggering.] For all his life, Charlie Winters had stood in his brother, Frankie's shadow. They were often compared, and while Frankie basked in the glory and warmth of popularity in school, Charlie blended into the crowd. All in all, Charlie's life wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows. Then, Charlie's single mother lands a job as a psychiatrist at Hollymore, which happened to be both a Rehabilitation Centre and a Psychiatric Institute. Charlie befriends Brooklyn, one of his mother's patients, as well as some other residents in Hollymore, and with each other's help, they might be able to turn their lives around.

Echo Frost moves to a new town in California with her "seemingly" perfect family. On the outside, they appear well rounded and put together, but behind closed walls...let's just say a lot goes on after dark. For one, her mother is a sloppy drunk, unable to resist the temptation of flushing out the past, leaving Echo to single handedly parent her little brother. When she starts at her new school, bad luck seems to follow her everywhere as she has a run in with the school's most sought after bad boy. TRIGGER WARNINGS: (note these are just general, there will not be warnings within chapters when it's about to happen) *physical and mental abuse* *alcoholism* *self-hate/blame* *toxic masculinity*
