Brize Rinaldi has been locked up her whole life for being a Partial, one of the children diagnosed with having only a portion of their genetic material. The government, a highly religious institution entitled the Gods of Order, claim that these Partial children are a result of recent human sins. When she is fourteen, Brize is whisked from her home and sent the the Partial Rehabilitation Program, where children are taken and given genetic 'fillers', so that they can be rehabilitated back into society. But not everything is as it seems. Soon, Brize and her new friends begin to realize that the Gods of Order may be lying about the true origin of the Partials and they begin their quest to find the truth.
