The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

It's like the whole world stopped. Everyone just stood there, not moving or breathing. The lights faded out and my lungs ached. I couldn't breathe. No matter if I gasped, nothing would come. Everything was a blur. In that moment, I knew that I just pissed off the wrong person, and I was dying. "I love you, L-" I gasped out before the whole world started to work again. I looked up into his eyes ....my eyes asking him if this is what he thought of me... I was never this low... How could he even think I did this deliberately! "Oh my god...your hand..." Andrea said looking at my hand I looked down to see my entire hand turned red with blisters everywhere. I felt numb earlier but now as I saw my wound I started feeling the suppressed pain I was controlling. My tears betrayed me not just because of his words but also from the pain of my burn. Andrea rushed towards me with a worried look on her face "Maria..bring ..the coolant hurry..we need to call the doctor.." She was something else So pure and caring My eyes lifted to see Ando He had a expression I couldn't decipher His eyes were fixed on my burn but I couldn't tell if he was worried or not. But soon that expression was gone as he turned around and left. I looked at his retreating back wondering since when did he become so heartless. There comes a time in everyone's life when they are faced with a difficult choice. For most people, following your instincts is easy. You know what to do, and you know what not to do. But what if you were faced with a choice that is just not that simple. When your instincts tell you one thing, but your heart tells you something else. I was faced with just such a choice. While driving down a deserted highway. I saw a car on the side of the road. Not just a car, a police car. We all know the police are trained to take care of themselves, so I drove past without stopping, but something didn't feel right. What would you have done? **This is a first draft. Please excuse any mistakes there may be. Please do not comment any corrections. I will fix them when I do the rewrite. This is also my first attempt at first person point of view so please bear with me.**

Everyone pushed to believe that bitch was dead, killed, or else suicide. My limbs were shaking from exhaustion, including the extra limbs protruding from my back. My breath came out rapidly but, I couldn't seem to get enough oxygen to my lungs. My eyes burned from the force of the air whipping past them. " No Razor! You can't stop, I'm right behind you. Keep going!" I heard a familiar voice say that seemed close but, distant. Following the voices orders I pushed my body to go faster and to ignore the pain of exaustion. "There she is!"

I looked down the side of the building. Should I do this? I thought stepping a little farther towards safety. What have I got to lose? No one loves me, I should just stop being a waste of air. I stepped to the very edge of the building. Come on. I couldn't bring myself to just step off. My heart raced, my hair was drenched with sweat. Just do it. I stepped off, sending myself hurtling towards the pavement.
