Dranya Sharspeak is a warrior for the Imperial Army. Her home country, Piram, is at war with their neighbor to the north, Dymiet. Her strength in divination and necromancy, along with her battle skills make her the most powerful warrior in her generation. Along with Derek Grimm, a high-ranking officer that has served the king for longer than Dranya has been alive, she must find a way to the capital of Dymiet - Isthanopolis - to overthrow the Darkbeing. The Imperial Army is slowly but surely running out of food and ammunition, and the grueling march to Isthanopolis is bound to deplete their chances of surviving. There will be no reinforcements. There will be no back-up plans. Dranya Sharpspeak is the kingdom's only hope. The fate of Piram rests on her shoulders, hoping that she'll keep strong when they can't.
