A cigarette held firmly between his long thick fingers as he dangerously ran them through his dark scruffy hair. 

"What the hell happened to you guys? To you?! We were best friends, all four of us" harshness carrying through the wind and round the empty school grounds.

He snored before kicking himself off the pale red brick wall. He took one last drag, holding the smoke in his mouth as he walked over "We grew up, Liberty" he spoke smoothly as the cigarette smoke cut off the point of my nose and spread out. 

His sharp green eyes blazed into mine and I cowered away from them "I was only gone for two years, Aiden" I whispered "You promised it would be the same when I got back"

He abruptly smashed my hip to his causing all my oxygen to jump out my body "You should have stayed, liberty. You could have stayed" the animosity was sharp in the tone of his voice "But you didn't. You f*cked off" 

My breath hitched as he ducked his head under my hair and up to my ears "You're no longer my best friend. And you are not welcome here anymore"
