Perhaps he will never know, but she wishes they could go back to those days, when the future seemed to be bright and there were just the two of them, and their friends, their youth, their promises. She loves him, too. But now, when happiness has faded and their promises have been broken, love seems just pointless. They don't know that love is the only thing that can save them again, as it had done once.
