Lily has always been the odd one out in nir family. Growing up with a hand in each world, ne has seen both magic and technology do seemingly unexplainable things, only to have them explained to nem.

The world is too quiet for nem. Not even music fills the gap. It makes is worse. Ne thinks ne should have baby brothers and sisters in abundance, as well as older siblings. Ne doesn't seem to even understand the concept of mothers.

No wonder ne is the odd one out among nir family; when they like to gather and laugh and sing, ne likes to look to the skies, watching things nobody else knows about, that not even ne can see.

There's also the fact that ne is mostly mute.
