FIRST BOOK: THE SEQUEL IS THE RETURN OF THE BEAST
Elizabeth Cole knew from an early age she was different from everyone else. She could see and talk with spirits.

Now as a young adult, she meets an old gypsy woman at a carnival who does a reading for her. She looks into her crystal ball. "You are a clairvoyant. I see you going on a long, perilous journey with many obstacles to overcome. But you will have to be ve-ry careful, because there is such an evil presence there that you are the only one who can help this family." The gypsy looked down again at her crystal ball. "I see a misty forest and you are all alone in the dark, trapped. No one enters the forest, especially at night. All who go in ... never come out. There is good and evil there." The gypsy gives her an amulet. She has cast a spell on it to repel all evil. She can contact her with it.

When she returns home, her father made arrangements with Nicholas Blackwood for her to be a governess for his daughter, Sarah. When she finally meets Sarah she tells Elizabeth about the evil spirit that resides here. That every night it frightens her with its horrible screeching and pounding even though her father locks all the doors every night at sundown. Everyone is to remain in their bedrooms no matter what they hear, until daybreak.

Can Elizabeth help this family rid itself of all the evil spirits that reside here or will she die trying along with the entire Blackwood family?

The love interest is violent, and the stereotypical Made Man, meaning this book will have non-consensual relationships, where the male lead is quite literally the incarnation of the devil himself.

A "Beauty and the Beast" retelling. Once upon a time, there was a boy in love with a Lilly. Not a flower, but a girl. It all started one beautiful autumn day. One autumn day that would change the boy's life forever. For on this day, he met Lilly, a beautiful girl with an ugly secret. A secret that threatens to destroy her if she cannot find a way to break the curse forced upon her. Filled with secrets, lies, and love, this short story captures the essence of the original fairy tale with an entirely new twist. ~~~ "Hello, my name is Lilly. What's yours? Is that your mother? I only just came to live here with Ivy, and I don't know many people that come to visit her yet. Do you come often? If you do, we could be friends! Would you like that? To be friends? Why, don't you speak at all? And you should really close your mouth; it is impolite to stare like that." Ivy called out to her from the doorway of the cottage. "Lilly, if you want him to speak, you must first cease speaking." Both of the women were laughing at the children, and Lilly blushed at the comment. "Sorry! I just haven't seen anyone my age yet, and I got excited, which happens rather easily. It reminds me a bit of puppies I've read about that just get so excited that they- oops. I'm doing it again. Sorry," she said with a shy smile. Adam, who had been standing there staring, just as she had pointed out, finally found his voice long enough to tell her his name. She beamed at him, saying that they would be great friends. She seized his hand and began tugging him toward the woods behind the cottage, shouting to Ivy and his mother, "We won't go far! Be back soon!" ~~~

**If you haven't read book 1, you will need to read it in order to follow on where this one picks up** Marcus broke my heart. The secrets he kept from me tainted our relationship by turning every moment we shared into a lie. While I try to forget about my feelings for him, I find comfort with Luke and his horses. With Luke I almost feel...normal-if that's even possible. But the more I fight against Marcus and this unexplainable magnetism between us, the harder it becomes for me to stay away. I'm weak when it comes to him, and I hate that he has this hold on me-a hold that is so strong it tears my heart out every damn time. But then I discover something about my own heritage that empowers me to take my fate in my own hands. Now, I have the power to fight those who think they can take advantage of me, and it feels good. Too good. That's the thing about power. If you're not careful it will consume you. Enough will never be enough, and it will suck you in until there is no longer any way out.
