Ten years ago, the human race decided it would be a good idea to enhance ourselves in order to become stronger. they started by enhancing our food. they plants turned strange colors and grew anywhere. it was a good thing at first, because it decreased the amount of poverty. but then we started modifying animals. they started with the livestock, but soon almost all animals were changed. but still, it seemed like it could be a good idea. it wasn't. the animals began to become increasingly aggressive. attacking humans left and right, they became a huge threat to mankind. and then it started. people who survived an attack from the freshly modified animals became monsters. flesh eating creatures whose forms were twisted and mutilated by constant fighting and aggression. they began to attack other humans. killing twice as many as the animals did until there were hardly any of us left to eat. I've been feeling uneasy ever since the attacks stopped. thiers still the hives though. however, I strongly believe that hybrid are still in those hives. not just the small ones either. the big ones that are basicly thors on steroids. I still have nightmares of thier screams. the screams of the people who died by thier talents blades. the roars after a decimated town. it was stupid, you know. but after I got out, I hunted those....monsters. I don't know how I do it but I hunt those hybrid. thankfully, we've got people like capton Tyson and Sargent Killian. they've kept me in check for so long. I can't tell you how thankful I am for them. thier basic my parents after they found me. now, I basicly work for the planets milita. I've been everywhere. I've even had a few adventures to the infested parts of the world. god...I wish I didn't sometimes. those...things. I can't believe they used to be human. I'm happy I put them out of thier misery but still, the call was general carts. he didn't nuke them but sent bodies just to fuel the fire. so many good men and women. died or infested. guess it can't be helped. Surrounding the city was destroyed towns, rusted with parts flung around. People are trying to survive the best they. But what will happen to them? What will they do? The Apocalypse
The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land.
