This is kind of a story but in the form of letters. So basically, the main character, Samantha Barnes, has been kidnapped and held hostage by a travelling circus. She then starts writing letters in an old notebook to her girlfriend, Stella, but they can't be sent because the group she is being held captive by won't let her so Sam has all these letters. It's kinda like a diary but it's telling the heart-wrenching story of this young adult being stripped of her freedom.
