Evangeline Turner has lived a rather privileged life. Raised by her grandfather after a tragic accident took the lives of her parents when she was just a child, Evangeline was given a life of opportunity with an education most can only dream of, but her life is lacking vibrancy, something she vows to change.

Recently graduated with a PhD in Evolutionary Science, and against her grandfather's wishes, twenty six year old Evangeline sets sail for the Maradine Islands to study the evolution of apes. But a terrible storm veers the vessel off course. Shipwrecked and alone, Evangeline must quickly learn to adapt, but more importantly to survive. The jungle carries secrets, and through the thick foliage and hanging vines could quite possibly lie the secret to her salvation.

Will Evangeline fall? Or will she find the courage to survive?
