Just a short story I wrote for the Young Authors Contest. I won third place for this writing I hope everyone enjoys it. My inspirations was The Host by Stephanie Meyer and The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. It's about Egyptians, Christmas, and really cool aliens.

Tempting the Fates
What if mythology isn't a myth? Callie Prescott has the rest of her life planned out: get into med school, become a heart surgeon, and heal the world. This started as a thought experiment sparked by an incident that occurred in 1988 in a Denny's restaurant in Tulsa Oklahoma, when a total stranger stopped me as I was pushing my quadriplegic son in his wheelchair. She told me that his afflictions were caused by satan and that it was only y lack of faith in jesus christ as my personal savior that was keeping him from being healed. So I imagined what kind of world this would look like, and this book was born. I wrote it from 1995/99. It was rejected by several publishers as being too far-fetched. You be the judge.Concluida
