Just a short story I wrote for the Young Authors Contest. I won third place for this writing I hope everyone enjoys it. My inspirations was The Host by Stephanie Meyer and The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. It's about Egyptians, Christmas, and really cool aliens.

A Baker's Dozen of Christmas What-Ifs
Thirteen short stories I submitted as entries into the "Twelve Prompts of Christmas" contest, created by Carol Ann Shaw (@WriterOnTheIsland). Each of these stories is based on real-life events. Several of them are plain-old non-fiction. Can you guess which ones? The rest of them tell the real-life story, but from a different branch of the alternate-Universe tree. Tempting the Fates

Mortals Turned Demigods
Plain as the title, it's about eight mortals who are sent ... well technically speaking thrown in to the world of Demigods after a mysterious letter is sent to each of them. I do not own the HoO characters . They belong to Rick Rioridan and will be making small appearances in this story. Plus don't be afraid to comment, I'd like some feed back on how I could write better. I'd also like to add for readers that, I do know that it sounds familiar. And I'm like to say thank you to think people who have inspired me. However, this story is mine and I thank those who've commented so far. The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smackdown
I've decided to jump into the latest smackdown hosted by LayethTheSmackDown and Ooorah. This is where I'll be posting my entries. It's been fun and challenging doing these in the past and it's good motivation to churn out some stories. I haven't managed to win one yet, but in a way that's beside the point. Hopefully I can last a few rounds, but if not, that's okay, too. Good luck to all who decide to participate!
