My great great aunt wrote this essay for a writer's course she took in (as near as I can figure) about 1960 or 1970. I think it perfectly sums up every reason I have for wanting to be a writer, and it is written beautifully. I hope it inspires someone out there to reach for your dreams, to take that chance, to publish a story, to be courageous enough to follow your dream, whatever it may be. Here are the words of Anne E. Dead on Arrival - Resurrected by Grace
I love the beginnings of stories. Whether it be a book or a movie, I enjoy the opening scenes the most. Because they hold all the promises of what is to come; unburdened by commitment or baggage. Beginnings are full of hope. This story is an exception. Because the beginning of it is a sad one. It's the ending, however, that makes this story worthwhile. Poems for the broken
I started writing poems because I had to get my emotions out in some other way and poems helped because I got a deeper meaning from them and had to put lessons I learned the hard way in my writings. I feel as if these were meant for those who could under stand my pain and anger at those who did me wrong. I don't care what you think about my writing because it's part of me and this is how i'm choosing to show you who I am. I was bullied. I did have my heart broken. I have came back stronger. Foster father? Lover?
I'm tired of running. I just wanna spend my life with someone I love and someone that loves me the same. I've been in foster care for a while now, always escaping but this couple comes out of the blue without even meeting me and takes me in. This man doesn't even look old enough to adopt me. There's something about him that just makes me wanna stay but life has other plans for me. The man I've been running from my entire life has found me.. I hope they can find me in time.Complete
