My great great aunt wrote this essay for a writer's course she took in (as near as I can figure) about 1960 or 1970. I think it perfectly sums up every reason I have for wanting to be a writer, and it is written beautifully. I hope it inspires someone out there to reach for your dreams, to take that chance, to publish a story, to be courageous enough to follow your dream, whatever it may be. Here are the words of Anne E.
