At the young age of eleven, Annabelle Martin ran away from home. On her first night in the streets, she met a mysterious boy named Matthew. Although at first cautious, the two teamed up to survive. But, after several nights, Matt convinced her to return to her home, rationalizing that a roof over her head and food in her stomach was worth dealing with her cruel father.
After four years of having no one care for her, Annabelle refused to let her friendship with Matt go. Even if she didn’t know him all that well, she was determined to help him how ever she could.
Eventually, the two become close friends and five years later, they are still friends. In the past several years, Annabelle has learned his secrets, and he, hers.
But can their friendship still survive when they no longer have the same comfortable relationship they’ve shared since the beginning? They’re older, and the stress of work, school, and family, can potentially ruin the best part of their lives?
This came out of my head randomly, and the story will probably change several times before it’s ended. Mostly, I’m just looking for an outlet for my imagination, and would greatly appreciate any and all constructive criticism that you may have. I hope you enjoyed my story. Thank you for reading!
