The kingdom of Rozarath is in a state of disarray. And Irrmaya is caught in the center of it all.
With a draught and summer so harsh and dry it lasts for what should be two season cycles. The peasants beg and pray for food and aid, and with people dying by the hour the capital is more well known as the land of the stiff. Headed by a king famed across all neighboring kingdoms for his cruel and sadistic ways and unsateable greed for power, each of the seven Ellords sitting as heads of council begin, behind his back, attempting to maintain peace in the kingdom from behind.
Irrmaya, born of a village far south of the capital and it's madness, has trouble finding who she really is after living so long in a village where different is generally considered scandalous, sets out on a journey of self discovery and adventure. Discovering more about herself and others than she thought possible.

Outside of those walls was where the poor stayed poor and poverty stayed brutally common. There were 11 closely built towns, but the 3 biggest were O'khasis, Scaleswind, and the Neapolitan villages. That was not where Aphmau was. She was born and raised in a small village far to the east called Phoenix Drop. She was thrown into guard training by her parents at the age of 12 to give her an opportunity in life. After 6 years of intense, tiring combat training and schooling, she'd been chosen to move to the castle as a guard. Of course, she wasn't expecting to be guarding the Crowned Prince of the Falcon Claw Castle. If she had the chance to go back to that day, she'd take that chance and run for the hills while she still could. 19 year old Prince Aaron, wanted absolutely nothing to do with her.
