In this Cinderella twist, Princess Ella of Kucera is a pretty young girl. Her mother recently passed away, but she has her father still... then he get's married to a woman named Rosalind who is all out for power and she hates Ella. Rosalind's two daughters move in with Ella and her father as well. Eventually Rosalind makes a ton of new rules for Ella to follow. When she accidentally breaks one, she awaits her punishment that is to be given as soon as her father returns. Then once word reaches Ella that her father's ship was lost at sea and he could quite possibly be dead, she breaks down, and Rosalind comes up with the punishment for being among the villagers of her kingdom, (one of Rosalind's new rules) and Ella is banished. She meets Kaia, from a neighboring kingdom, and together, the two of them go on an adventure while Ella finds herself besides being a princess all the time, and Kaia finds out what it means to really have someone care.
