Katniss has finally settled down with Peeta and her children, occupied with the task of rebuilding District 12. Everything in life seems perfect, and that's when everything goes wrong.
A science experiment goes array in the Capital, and everybody in experiencing the aftershocks. It is destroying mankind. All of humanity.
Will Katniss survive and possibly stop inhuman assault? Or will she along with millions of others be wiped out-- for good?

Her hair grew longer; wilder. Black claws extended off each finger. Her round, plump checks morphed into sallow, sunken ones, and a boney body structure followed. Her skin grew yellow and cracked, and prominent purple circles formed under her eyes, standing out against her unnatural pallor. And her eyes-- her eyes looked like foggy gray marbles; emotionless and empty.
But her appearance was the last of anybody else's problems. Not even her voice-- which had grown deep, hoarse, and strained effected anybody.
