As well written the Inheritance Cycle was, it is without debate that there were some rather glaring loose ends and hasty patch up jobs. This is my take on the situation with Sloan the butcher, taking place after Eragon is attacked by the soon-to-be-disgraced clan of dwarves in the bowels of Farthen Dur while awaiting Orik's coronation. Eragon did not escape as unscathed as he did in the book; so much so, that he is taken to Ellesmera before Orik is crowned. When he wakes, it is to a familiar faces, both welcome, and not.All Rights Reserved
