Cynthia was a simple teenager, only 14 years old, who was baby sitting her younger cousin. Thats when it all started. The horror, the terror and the despicable acts of treachery. She struggles in the apocalypse, not only with the terrifying zombies taking over, but with her heart. For her, its all about keeping the ones she loves safe, staying strong and falling in love. Will she crack under pressure, or remain calm? Will her heart ever choose between two very hot guys? Will she fall apart trying to find her family?
Brendan has always loved her. She was the girl of his dreams for so long. He finds her during the apocalypse, and suddenly they grew much closer. If only it wasn't for him. He could tell she took an interest in him, and via versa. She wasn't the only one he had to protect. He felt the need to make sure mum and friend were alway safe. He soon becomes exhausted, mentally and physically. Fear and emotions were driving him crazy, and he started to loose grip of reality. Is there still hope for Brendan?
Vince's life was far from normal, even before the apocalypse. His dad worked for the government. No, not the side full of politicians, fakes and liars, but the real side. The horrible side, that was kept from the public. The side that created this virus, and did nothing to stop it. He didn't know who to trust. That was, until he met her. He was taken back by her beauty and started falling for her. He can't get her off his mind. He even thought about her more then the apocalypse, but wasn't ever going to admit that. He was afraid of his own feelings. He knew he couldn't live with out her. His battle is with the secrets, the zombies, his sanitary and his heart.
Nobodies safe in a zombie apocalypses. Everyone sleeps with one eye open, and will loose apart of themselves. Some, go completely insane. Read, as the characters struggle to keep secrets that rip them to pieces, and zombies, that take away the people you and others come to love.

She is also Caleb's "sister". Since Bradly is an ass towards both Ella and Caleb they decided to join forces and stick together. Bradley (Brad) is 16 and also has secrets. He doesn't have friends and is kinda shy. He has a hatred in his heart towards the world and no one knows why. Caleb is 14. He is like Ella's brother. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. He finds that over time he begins to have feelings for Ellie, he wants to protect her and shelter her from this horrible life. Can Ellie and Joel save the world? They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?"
